Transformative chamber music concerts with DSO ensembles
Presented by Darwin Symphony Orchestra and Darwin Entertainment Centre in association with Darwin Festival
The beauty and talent of Darwin Symphony Orchestra is back on stage in two vibrant chamber music concerts, each presenting a unique program.
Metamorphosis I features work by Bach, Dvořák and more, as well as Shostakovich's haunting and intense String Quartet No. 8. Metamorphosis II will feature the world premiere of Darwin composer Cathy Applegate's Conversations about the Impossible, as well as stunning compositions by Mozart, Richard Strauss, Bach and others. And, for the first time ever, DSO musicians will be joined onstage by the rising stars of the Orchestra’s Young Artists Program.
